Atlas will never market additional members in those regions where there is an option of having one or two additional members unless they receive complaints from the membership or -out of the blue-applications are received through the website. Membership commitment is highly appreciated and awarded by the Network. It is the aim of the network to have an Atlas member in every main trading centre in the world for sea and air logistics, irrespective whether port or inland cities are involved. 3. Membership commitment Port or airport members Atlas members commit themselves to work on an exclusive basis for all their exports with the continents or countries they have confirmed to develop mutual services with. Port members are allowed to handle import/export for companies other than Atlas members on a neutral basis. This clause is under the condition that any new sales lead generated by the Atlas port member will be provided to an Atlas member in the appropriate country to secure the business under the Atlas International Network umbrella. Inland members Atlas members commit to work with the Atlas International Network port member of the port via which they are shipping/transiting their cargo's on a "first refusal" basis. Members commit to look for a mutual cooperation to strengthen the network. Inland members are allowed to handle import/export on a neutral basis for companies other than Atlas members under condition that their own import/export sales leads are handled by the Atlas member of the country of origin/destination.
